Following successful first and second collection periods, the third collection period for the KIN Pact Network Subsidy has been cancelled. The reason for this is that, after the two previous collection periods, it is highly unlikely that sufficient budget will remain to open a successful third collection period.
The KIN Pact Network Subsidy was created a few months ago to promote the formation of networks aimed at accelerating climate transitions. A unique feature of the Network Subsidy is that applications can also be submitted by a social organisation, provided that the network consists of two social organisations and a knowledge institution and the applicants are affiliated with the KIN Pact. This is a conscious choice, with which KIN is opening up the application procedure to non-knowledge institutions with a view to diversity and transdisciplinarity. The networks whose applications have been approved will become active as working groups within the KIN Pact. In these working groups, they will focus on their own issues and share knowledge with the Pact community.
Announcement of second round of grants
Although the assessment process for the current round of the KIN Pact Network Grant is still in its final stages, it looks like the second round of the grants will be announced at the end of May. The reason why we at KIN have decided to announce the closing date for the third round already is to avoid disappointment and unnecessary work for networks that are still considering submitting an application. Although the subsidy ceiling for the scheme was doubled in the first round, there is a chance that the subsidy budget will be exhausted given the number of applications in the current round. We will inform you of the final decision on this page in the last week of May 2025.
Evaluation of the Network Subsidy Grant
Now that the KIN Pact Network Grant is closing, it will be evaluated (Autumn 2025) and possibilities for a follow-up will be explored. If you have any questions, please contact Maaike Spuij: maaike.spuij@regieorgaan-sia.nl
