Justice in transitions requires more than good intentions. It demands a sharp analysis of power, inequality and vulnerability — and professionals who are willing to examine the distributional questions behind climate adaptation, the energy transition and spatial development.
That is why this spring DRIFT launches the course *Justice in a Changing Climate*: a multi-day programme in which you work on your own practical case and explore how justice can be concretely embedded in decision-making and implementation.
The course connects insights from transition research and public health with hands-on experience from policy and practice. Themes such as unequal vulnerability, intergenerational justice and tensions between local and global perspectives take centre stage.
For KIN, this directly relates to our mission: systemic change also means making fundamental choices about distribution, inclusion and legitimacy explicit. This course has been made possible in part through the KIN network.
Do you work on climate challenges and want to treat justice not as an afterthought, but as a starting point? View the brochure and register now.
Please note the course is in Dutch.
- Important update: the Justice in a Changing Climate course is being postponed!
The edition scheduled for the spring will be postponed. Work is underway on new dates later in the year. Registration via the link is therefore temporarily closed. As soon as the new schedule is finalised, you can read about it on DRIFT’s LinkedIn or the page on the DRIFT website.
