KIN is collaborating with IPDC, Deltares, WWF, and Stichting CAS to work towards a knowledge agenda on climate adaptation for Bonaire, which will be a chapter in the upcoming Bonaire Climate Plan. As part of this work, we are creating an overview of ongoing and upcoming research projects that can inform climate change adaptation on the island of Bonaire across diverse fields, including water, nature, energy, food, wellbeing, and culture.
We know that there are many research overviews for the SSSABC islands – each with their own scope (e.g., covering some or all of the 6 islands) and their own focus (e.g., not necessarily specific to climate change adaptation) – which inform our work greatly. But we also think that there are likely many more research projects planned and taking place that are not in these overviews, but which may prove pivotal for climate adaptation efforts on Bonaire.
