Our Core Values

We have drawn up core values for the Pact. We ask all our members to sign up to these core values. You can do this by ticking the box at the bottom of the description of the core values.

-> Cooperation and Transparency Participation in the KIN Pact is based on cooperation and equality. Parties are open and engage in dialogue. Shared ownership and shared responsibility are the starting points. Members of the KIN Pact share relevant information about their actions, methods and results with other Pact members and other relevant parties in order to accelerate system transitions and prevent greenwashing.

-> Scientific, responsible and committed The KIN wants to inspire and encourage all relevant actors who want to accelerate climate transitions to participate. Members of the KIN Pact strive to contribute with concrete, scientifically based, reliable actions with ideally measurable results in order to demonstrate the impact on accelerating transitions aimed at reducing risks from climate change. A transdisciplinary and integrated approach is the starting point here.

-> Ambition and urgency System transitions are necessary and urgent in order to achieve climate targets. This requires not only swift action, but also the courage and daring to implement major changes, even if knowledge is still limited, and to learn. Pact members are committed to implementing system transitions, experimenting and learning together as they go. -> Climate justice The KIN Pact strives for a just transition, in which no groups in society are disproportionately affected by climate actions and the consequences of climate change.

-> Diversity and inclusivity Participation is open to everyone, regardless of religion, beliefs, political affiliation, race, gender, age, educational level, work experience, disability or sexual orientation. Members of the Pact are committed to involving members from diverse backgrounds, giving them a proportional voice and removing barriers that prevent equal participation. The undersigned confirms participation in the KIN Pact and endorses the core values of KIN Pact.
