The Learning Community Sustainable Environments Curaçao (SEC) focuses on strengthening cooperation between knowledge institutions and civil society organisations on the Dutch Caribbean islands. Through citizen science activities, young people are actively involved in collecting data and developing solutions to local climate challenges.

The network brings together partners such as TU Delft, The Hague University of Applied Sciences and the University of Curaçao, in close collaboration with local civil society organisations. Together, they create knowledge, strengthen climate awareness and make the impact of climate change visible in the living environment.

With the support of the KIN Pact, this learning community is being further developed, linked to a regional knowledge infrastructure and focused on transferable models for sustainable cooperation. The approach offers future generations a perspective for action and makes the bridge between local and global tangible.
