Theme
Lawyers for a Sustainable World (JDW) is a network that has been bringing together lawyers from various sectors and disciplines since 2020 to contribute to a sustainable society. With seven Climate Tables, JDW encourages knowledge sharing and collaboration on climate and sustainability law. The network offers lawyers concrete perspectives for action and supports them in integrating sustainability into their daily practice.
Through meetings, an accessible ESG platform and joint projects, JDW works to build a strong, connected legal community that develops solutions to complex climate and transition issues. The network acts as a bridge between law, policy and social initiatives and contributes to accelerating system transitions.
JDW believes that real impact is created when legislation and regulations make it easier for governments, businesses and citizens to act sustainably. We help lawyers to think in a transition-oriented way, act as sparring partners and integrate sustainability into their field of work. Our activities stimulate collaboration and innovation, enabling lawyers to work with experts to develop solutions that accelerate the transition. By strengthening networks and partnerships with legal and non-legal parties, we increase our impact. In this way, we are building a powerful legal community that puts sustainability at the heart of policy and practice.
We are always looking for lawyers who can strengthen the initiative by offering inspiration and substantive contributions in the field of ESG. If you see a role for yourself in this, we would love to hear from you!
