Transdisciplinary collaboration is essential for addressing complex societal challenges such as climate change, health inequalities and social injustice. In practice, however, organising and sustaining such collaboration is often difficult. NECTR aims to change this by offering knowledge, tools and connections to everyone who wishes to shape research in a transdisciplinary manner – that is, with and for practice.

NECTR gathers and shares insights from research and practice, and builds a national network of people and organisations working with transdisciplinary approaches. Through an online platform, meetings and publications, experiences are exchanged, methods are disseminated and new connections are established.

The centre works closely with researchers, policymakers and societal partners to strengthen the quality, impact and visibility of transdisciplinary practice in the Netherlands. In doing so, NECTR contributes to a fertile foundation for system change.
