Consultants and advisory organisations play a key role in enabling system transitions. They connect actors, facilitate processes and translate knowledge into action. Yet their potential often remains underused, and the sector regularly faces criticism. The Network for Transformative Advisory Practice aims to change this by bringing together consultancies, researchers and practice partners to build an advisory practice that supports just and sustainable change.

The network focuses on strengthening the sector through joint reflection, knowledge exchange and the development of new forms of advisory work. Themes such as action perspective, legitimacy, impact pathways and co-creation are central. The network also works on a shared understanding of quality, as well as on tools and learning trajectories.

With support from KIN, the network is becoming more professional and more nationally connected. This creates a learning community working towards an advisory practice that contributes to system change, rather than unintentionally reinforcing existing structures.
