The KANNN: Climate Adaptation, Labour, Nature-inclusive Agriculture and Nature Management

The KANNN is the knowledge and innovation network for companies that participated in the Koploper Projects – a programme in which SME entrepreneurs learn to work on sustainability in collaboration with educational institutions. The network translates sustainability challenges from practice into educational assignments, research and knowledge exchange.

Through workshops, knowledge sessions and a helpdesk, the KANNN facilitates long-term collaboration between companies and students. This creates new insights, practical solutions and innovative applications that contribute to system change. To date, more than 50 Koploper Projects have been carried out, involving over 530 participants – from businesses to healthcare organisations, schools and municipalities.

The ambition is to scale up this approach, professionalise the network and further strengthen its connection with education. By actively involving KIN members, the KANNN aims to broaden its impact on sustainable business practices in the Netherlands.
