This spring, DRIFT (supported by KIN) is launching a new three-day course on justice in the climate crisis. The course is aimed at professionals working on transitions who ask themselves: do our interventions work for those most affected? And do they reduce inequality, or might they in fact reinforce it?
Participants will engage with theory, practical examples and moral dilemmas related to justice in transitions, with explicit attention to differences between local and international contexts, and between present and future generations. There will be space to work on participants’ own cases.
The course is led by Joyce Browne (UMC Utrecht), Sophie Buchel (DRIFT) and Andre Rodenburg (Samen Klimaatbestendig). This collaboration brings together expertise at the intersection of just transitions, planetary health and social inequality in relation to climate change.
The provisional dates are 21 April, 12 May and 2 June. The location will be confirmed.
