The first year of KIN is behind us, and what a year it has been! Our ambition for the coming year is clear: to scale up further, make a greater impact, and collaborate towards a sustainable future.
In our first anniversary magazine (English version coming soon), we look back at everything we have achieved so far. It is inspiring to see how much has already been set in motion. Yet, we feel that we are only at the beginning of what we aim to accomplish.
Read below to find out what lies ahead in the coming period:
- In the new year, we will focus on strengthening our network by intensifying collaborations and continuing to drive action and decisiveness within the Pact working groups.
- With the new tools we aim to launch later this year, we plan to quickly initiate many new projects that should also yield results swiftly.
- We will introduce several new funding instruments designed to enable scientists and non-scientists alike to collaborate more effectively on solutions and turn knowledge into action.
- We will expand the number of partners in our Pact and work on even better knowledge exchange within the Pact, including improving our “members only” section on our website.
- We are developing a knowledge portal for climate research and enhancing our website.
- Next year, we will launch several major programmes focused on the themes advised by our Strategic Advisory Board (SAR).
- We will further expand national collaboration between institutions and climate centres and experiment with them on joint initiatives and new programmes.
- We will strengthen our role as a centre of expertise and ensure more cohesive programming on climate transition within NWO.
- Additionally, we aim to develop new programmes aligned with the recommendations of our Strategic Advisory Board and continue our international programme in Mozambique, with potential expansion to the Caribbean Netherlands.
- We will expand and support our Pact working groups with financial resources. We will continue to monitor and evaluate our own activities, making adjustments as needed.
- We will publish our Theory of Change, a multi-year strategy, and further develop our communication strategy.
- will remain open to critical feedback, continuously evaluating and refining our approach.
- We will stay creative, hopeful, and determined.
We look to the future with confidence and see the coming year as an opportunity to take even bigger steps. Would you like to learn more about our first year and our plans for the future? Then read our first birthday magazine.
